Mindfulness based Yoga has been a defining influence in Henri Ferguson’s life for over 30 years. As a life long learner, he took his initial teacher training with Sandra Sammartino in White Rock, BC and later his Sapta Yoga teacher training with Sushil Bhattacharya in Nepal.
Henri has completed Yoga Therapy for Seniors teacher training at Duke University Integrative Medicine and Yoga for Cancer Survivors (Yoga Thrive Program) through the University of Calgary Kinesiology department.
Henri personifies his values and beliefs bringing life experience and understanding of yogic, Buddhist and Zen philosophies into each class to facilitate students’ efforts toward self realization and empowerment. His eclectic and holistic style of yoga is energetic and healing, with an emphasis on breath and mindfulness, core strength and flexibility in body and spirit.
Henri holds a BA in psychology and is a registered yoga teacher (ERYT 500) with the Yoga Alliance.
