A Greeting from Dr. Jessica Miousse (she/her)
Registered Psychologist. Independent Contractor.
Bonjour,
Hello,
My name is Jessica Miousse, and I am a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Alberta. I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Université de Sherbrooke and my thesis explored the transition to motherhood for partners of women pregnant through assisted reproductive technology. My native language is French, but I also speak English. Since starting my practice in 2022, I have primarily worked within the public health system in Quebec. I am now based in Canmore, where I see clients at Canmore Counselling and also offer online sessions via videoconference. The therapeutic space I provide is a safe, open, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable to reflect and explore a range of emotions. Together, we will identify your needs, and I will support you with the best of my expertise to help you make sense of your experiences and achieve your goals. I primarily use approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, and humanistic therapy. I tailor my interventions to the unique needs of each client. We can delve into and reflect on your past or focus on the present and develop short-term solutions based on your preferences and situation. Ultimately, my goal is to help you live a life that is rich, balanced, and aligned with your values. Here is an overview of the issues for which I offer support. Please feel free to contact me for more details:
I work with adolescents (14 years and older) and adults in individual sessions. Appointments can be 30 or 60 minutes, according to your preference. Rates are $220 per hour ($110 for 30 minutes).
